WW1 Centenary Project
We have some fantastic news..
Heritage Lottery Fund Scotland has awarded CamGlen Radio £9,700 in support of a World War One project!
The project, entitled 'CamGlen Commemorates the Centenary: Remembering and Learning about the First World War', will involve training & supporting local young people to conduct interviews with older residents, visit local sites connected to WW1 and ultimately plan and create a series of radio programmes to be broadcast on or around 11th November this year.
We will also be hosting pop-up exhibitions in Cambuslang and Rutherglen later in the year.
Watch this space for more information on our upcoming activities.
If you have a family connection to WW1 and have stories to share (or know someone who does) we would love to hear from you. Email us: tess@healthynhappy.org.uk or call 0141 646 0123
Thank you The National Lottery players for making this project a reality.
