The Thinking Differently Show
The young people from Healthy n Happy’s Thinking Differently Steering Group were live on CamGlen Radio on Wednesday 2nd of September from 6pm.
The group is made up of young people ( aged 14-18) from across Rutherglen and Cambuslang. They come together each week to have fun, explore different health topics and to help their community. The group started out in 2013, when they began tackling alcohol issues in communities across Rutherglen and Cambuslang. They group were involved in trialling new youth club activities for young people in Halfway and are keen to start working on new ideas soon.
This summer they have been working on a special project focusing on e-cigarettes for NHS South Lanarkshire. As young health activists, the group did their own research on e-cigs and are now ready to present their findings exclusively on Camglen radio. Listeners can also take part in the show by texting, emailing and tweeting their opinions during the show.
As well as discussing e-cigs, the show will feature music chosen by the group and amazing adverts created by other young people who have been part of the Thinking Differently project this year.
Most importantly, you can find out all the details on how YOU can become part of the group too. Listen out for details of their open night for new members on the 9th of September at CamGlen Radio’s new home Number 18!
