Prostate Cancer

In England & Wales, it has been found that there have been 27,773 new  cases, with a staggering 9161 deaths, through men developing prostrate cancer.

This rising concern in mens health, should encourage men to see their General Practitioner if any symptoms are found, especially relating to Prostrate Cancer.

Symptoms such as - Lumps, bumps, Skin Changes, Discharge, Bleeding, Urinary Tract System problems, can be signs of Prostrate Cancer.  As in any case of these symptoms, it is usually sensible to visit your Doctor anyway.  But with the increasing risk of this growing problem, more men are encouraged to visit their doctor these days.

The Department of Health since 2002 has recommended that after being tested by your doctor and previous symptoms incurred are more serious, you should then be tested by the hospital Doctor, who deals in Urology.  Men of all ages should be advised that there is no age restiction & should be aware of any blood that may pass through urine.

Your G.P. would ask for a urine sample from you at your appointment, and ask many many questions of your sysmptoms, that you may be aware of.  Dont be afraid, as your G.P. should guide you through examinations and tests that may be, though there is no one test that can say what the problem may be.  Your G.P. will then examine your abdonibal muscles, groin & testes recta, and also blood tests for PSA.
